Georgie is a born and bred local, growing up in Newport. She completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing from Ultimo Tafe in 2001 and initally worked at Forestville Vet Hospital before moving to the Northside Emergency Veterinary Services (NEVS). The lure of travel took her to London and she experienced life as a veterinary Nurse in the UK before joining us at MVVH at the end of 2005.
Georgie completed a Diploma of Practice Management in 2010 via the University of New England which soon resulted in her promotion to her current role as Practice Manager at MVVH.
A working holiday to Bali in 2011 gave Georgie a fresh perspective of the need for education about animal welfare issues when she volunteered at the Animal Welfare League in Ubud. In light of this, Georgie is passionate about empowering the human / animal bond. She aims to always ensure there is a satisfied client and a happy, healthy pet at the end of every visit.
A typical Northern Beaches girl, you will find Georgie at the beach on the weekends and enjoying lovely food and wine in the evening – unless she is travelling abroad that is!
Georgie lives with her human partner, Craig, and her two feline companions; Gracie, a 2year old domestic shorthair who she rescued as a stray and Leo, the 13 year old Spotted Mist.
